Misanthropic Amentia

Misanthropic Amentia
Scott David James
Circa 2012

So tired of tolerance
Constantly giving just to be taken
People are zombies lost and forsaken
The taking for granted and granting the taking
Like sheep and lambs
Awaiting the slaughter
Giving their first born and all of their daughters
To the creeds of today:
Contradiction and Fodder

This is your world – as fluid as water
Lacking direction, structure
Just squalor
The cause of your whim’s
So simple to follow
The end of your means
Fickle and hollow
The end of you; can’t be more simpler
You won’t end “with a bang”
Just “with a whimper!”

Credited quote: -T.S. Eliot
“This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper.”
