Blessed

Blessed
Scott David James
Circa 2004

Touch you more than you see
At the risk of knowing me
Alas, you got in
I slammed it shut

Door booms behind me
I’m stuck in the rut

Suddenly a bar of light beams through
Somehow in darkness, penetrating so
Without caring
One path to go
A light in requited closure

Blowing in from unknown crests
Suddenly
Exultingly
This feeling
Blessed.
